Heatshield brand, good to 2000 deg. The product has a foil type material on one side. Worked quite well, used 10" width to wrap 3" exhaust.

Thanks, I found the Heatshield webpage. Is it available from NAPA or CdnTire? Would this product work to repair/protect the downpipe where it's exposed to road salt and abrasion coming off the front tire? On my '74 it's getting corroded and I want to apply something to stop the corrosion or at least slow it down.

I got mine from Amazon.com, not sore about Napa or Cdn Tire. They may might get it for you.

I think that it would protect the pipe from salt, etc.
