13 LX - Hatch Problem(2 short beeps)

The hatch on my LX won't open or close from either the fob, the button on the dash, or the push button on the hatch. I get two short beeps, and nothing else.

I checked techstream, and there's no codes. The clutch test, and motor test work.

I replaced the struts, and while opening much easier by hand, the motorized open and close still don't work.

I disconnected the battery briefly, no change.

The 'rear hatch lock' button to the right of the dash is in the 'operating' position.

It did work until a week or so ago.

Any ideas? I see a lot of two beep threads online.. but most of them instruct people to hit the rear hatch lock override button on the dash.

Ummm...dumb question, but did you press the lock-out button on the dash. The one right in from of your right knee?

EDIT: Sorry you mentioned you did. Maybe the switch is bad?

It shows engaged and disengaged in techstream.

I had this problem at one point (or one very similar). I had to open/close the hatch by hand in order to get it to "reset" and work electronically again.

Any chance it's a blown fuse somewhere?

Perhaps. I'll look.

I wouldn't expect the motor to run in techstream with a blown fuse.. but I've seen stranger things.

Make sure your doors aren't locked by hitting the "unlock" button on your drivers side door.

Strange I also have a 2013 LX and noticed the exact same this past Sunday. I know it worked prior to that but haven’t spent any time on since then to try and figure it out.

Knowing the complexity of modern vehicles it's probably a Y2K type bug. All 13 LX's stopped working on Saturday

Anyone solve this mystery? Have the same issue...two beeps. I replaced the rear struts and at least it is a lot easier to open and close than before. But it would be nice to have the power operation working again on my 2013 rear hatch. Thx.

Disconnect the battery and go to the owners manual on resetting the rear hatch
