Yeah... I donno about anyone else, but I'm thinkin that this run is busted!!
Even if sat. Is dry, I'm thinkin the trail is gonna be pretty sloppy and the off camber dirt hill at the south west end is gonna be sketchy. Also supposed to be windy to boot.

Thoughts?
 
More importantly, they have flood warnings beginning this afternoon. Let's see, canyon with a creek running through it, with flood warnings...(not to mention like Chicago said the mud!!!)

I'm out.

Maybe we can postpone it to next week? Would December 8 work for everyone? Supposed to be drying out starting Monday.

Yeah... I was thinking about that too, the flooding that is.
I'm out for the following weekend...Julez and I are getting out of town, JUST THE TWO OF US!!
Headin down to sonoma for a long weekend!! :)
 
Is anyone doing this run:confused: Yes it may be muddy on parts of the trail and windy, no floods or rain til late sat night. The hill at the end is not a problem if you make a u turn at the cave and go out the way you came in. If no one posts up I won't be there at Smiths:crybaby:
 
I'm on call to sand bag tomorrow if it looks like what we did today won't be enough to save my work.
I spent the day working with a bunch of overweight smokers trying to secure the plant. They did their best but.........:frown:

It looks like it'd be best to postpone until 11/8 to work better with everyone's schedule.
 
An other thing to consider, is the effect on the trail itself if we go when it's really when it't this wet. Our lovely clay soil ruts badly and those ruts stay most summer causing other issues, like trail widening when people try to find smoother lines.

If I can get my shocks in the mail and on the truck I might be up for this. Like others have said, assuming the conditions are right.

One thing I do know is that IH8MUD for sure!
 
How about Saturday the 8th, I was stuck I. Elko last weekend should be home this weekend.
 
I'm hoping we can get a run together for Saturday the 8th. Bad news for me is that I can't make it. I have family stuff to do for Z's birthday. Anybody for leading Saturday?
 
I am going to be out of town, so I won't be able to make it either. I really wanted to go.
