After looking and researching for a year I finally found a 2000 LC for the right price and decent condition. I have been working through the base lining process and would like to keep the cruiser for as long as possible.
I have read through several threads about shocks and springs but need some guidance about my situation. Driving my cruiser, it feels like the shocks are shot and may be original, the truck has 260k miles. Looking at the truck it looks like the rear springs need to be replaced, the rear is about level with the front unloaded.

I plan on using the truck as a daily driver with 4 other passengers 90%+ of the time. I don’t plan on building it with bumpers or roof racks. But I will have an approx 300 lb loaded bike rack frequently and tow a 4000 lb boat 100 miles monthly. I use it on an unpaved cattle ranch multiple times a week.

I would like to change out the shocks and suspension but haven’t seen a good answer to my use. I know there are many threads about this, but feel like my situation is slightly different. (Don’t we all? lol)

Should I:
A) put on OEM shocks and springs and go for another 200k?
B) put on an old man emu medium 0 lift with shocks and springs?
C) add the Old man emu 2.5 lift with torsion bars?
D) add air bags with one of the other options?
E) none of the above???

Thanks for all of the unrecognized help in researching and purchasing my cruiser.

Thanks for the replies, would you recommend changing the rear springs? Or just the shocks?
