Anyone know who is driving around the bad :censor: 100 series with the 80 axle conversion underneath it? Charcoal gray, man that thing is cool. see it up the pass or around the west side all the time... Jealous....

I haven't seen that one yet.

Is it a swap, or dis somebody manage to import a 105?

I didn't know there was a 105. The front links and axle sure do look like they are from an 80 series. Haven't been able to catch him and talk, the owner drives fast.
That was one of my next vehicle ideas if I sold the 4runner, but reading on the 100 series forum, they talk like solid axle swaps are impossible ... not to mention 100 series wagons are holding their resale value at an unbelievable rate...

The only SAS'd 100-series I have seen is the one Slee did a while back. Something like that might be in the long-term plans for my 100 but my wife would smother me in my sleep if I even considered it now.

The 105 is a solid axle 100 series sold overseas. Not sure if it was generally available - may have only been available through a UN program or such.

The first SAS Slee did on a Hundy was the Blueberry. Basically is is 80 control arms and panhard setup with a Diamond front housing and 80 ends.
