OK so i have had my original sun visors, then i got the overhead altimeter setup and swapped over to the JDM shorty's. NEITHER one was very good a keeping the sun out of the side of my eye. So, i was checking out the
's 100 and it looked like the sunvisors would swap over.
Finnaly got a hold of some grey 100 visors and swapped the mounting brackets. Here is what they look like after the install.
the "stem" from the 100 series visor will fit into the bracket on the 80 with minor modification. to get the bracket off of the 80 visor take a small file and slowly prick away the "head" on the "stem" and you should be able to EASILY slide the bracket off. after that take the 100 bracket and hacksaw it off. (be careful not to damage the "stem"). the only difference between the two "stems" is there is a larger "ridge" on the 100 that needs to be ground/sanded off. once you get that all smoothed out check to make sure it fits nice. you may need to ream out the inside of the 80 bracket as well. the set the bracket upside town on a vise or something and carefully punch the 100 stem through the 80 bracket. and viola!
this is not an exact swap, so be careful and make sure your clearances are good before hammering the stem through the bracket or you might break the bracket.
Enjoy!
