I know I’m revitalizing an older thread and the Skid plate conversation has probably been beaten to death…
But I’ve finally achieved my 1st 100 series. For whatever reason, which I can’t seem to get a straight answer on… The truck shipped with NO front skid and NO middle skid…

My question to y’all is… Has anyone used the Coastal Skid plates yet?
I like that they fasten with through bolt, through the frame. I think that will we be ways easier for removal during maintenance.
I should state that I don’t plan on doing heavy off-roading. Mostly logging roads in Maine and New England winters.
The only issue I can see is that you need to weld the front skid plate yourself… I’m no welder but I’m sure it’s straight forward given what involved. (No time like the present to learn)
Any thoughts or experience with product would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.
This Forum is by far and away the best thing going for car enthusiasts. I hAvnt seen a platform anywhere near as good as Ih8mud. So thanks in advance to the crew.
