SINCITY,

Any good places to wheel near Vegas so we could dump the wife and kids at Circus Circus for a few days:D

I am planning to do the CM '06. Hopefully (assuming commission check to cover) I will have my new trailer to break in on that run. Hopefully we can group together across Hwy 50 for this run.

Otherwise...I agree: With so many LC'rs in the general vacinity we should, at least, schedule a run that is just 2-3 days and in our general area. DV sounds good to me...maybe late February?

Right now I am in hunting mode. Spent Thursday taking my folks out and about 4x4'n in the 100 and doing some hunting. My folks were really blown away by the 100' off-road prowness...my Dad has been a GM guy for alot of years! The trails are accessible since we have not had any snow to speak of...

If you want to do something around the Reno area I know a few trails that would be fun with good views, etc....one of the best trails, however, is accessed on the Reno's west side and is probably already snowed in...but come June this trail is a blast...and you'll need sliders to get through! Not Rubi tough...but fun just the same. And motels are cheap here in Reno (compared to CA).

Otherwise there are probably (all the NoCal guys know!) trails on the Sacto side of the Sierra that can be accessed most of the winter?

As a matter of fact, yes...In fact there is ONE run that is especially rewarding.

It starts out in the desert right outside of Vegas, then just happens to travel right past several of the best brothels in Nevada !!

I think this run would be VERY popular with the members..
After all...What happens in Vegas...STAYS in Vegas !!! :D :D :D

Actually Cal, If you are serious about organizing a run down here in Southern Nevada, I Know of several excellent trails close to Vegas, The Logandale run is probably the most famous out here and offers a WIDE variety of challanges for different skill levels.

Although the "Brothel run" would still my personal choice.... ;)

90% chance I will not make CM06. If I do I'll be there in my '97 LX. Sorry...this year.

In my opinion, an ideal place to hold a 100-series event would be Ouray, CO. The pinnacleof the trip would be Poukeepsie Gulch. It was simply amazing! The last 1/3 of that trip was unreal!

The neat thing about this area......ALL 100's can come and run trails. Many trails offer no body damage risk for stock rigs. Some trails are moderate and some like Poughleepsie are for modified.

I, in 1995, mountain biked the triangle connecting Ouray, Silverton and Lake City...Engineer and Cinnamon passes (12-13+K)...awesome scenery for sure!

+1 for the colorado iniative

Actually, when is Father's day in June 2006? We should do it then.

1. Durango dresses up their train like `Thomas'
2. I could bring my 2yr old son, because:
3. We'll have a newborn by then and there's no way I'd get out otherwise!

or you could come out in late august and hook up with the rising sun/tlca rally in denver ;)
