coming up on 3 years. Came from FL, undercoated in 2019 and 2020. No rust, and also just had half of the 100k fluids + timing belt and radiator done
Do you use something like the New Hampshire Oil Undercoating? Does it offer enough protection to withstand daily driving in northeast? (If you don't try to avoid driving on the days after major snow.)
Thanks.

Since this is a pricing thread, figured this might fit here. Have a 2005 LX470, 298,xxx miles on it, fully built (front and rear bumpers, Ironman 4x4 FCP lift kit, 295s, ARB base rack, etc. What would it be worth in today's market?

That's actually exactly what I used! It's obviously an oily substance, so I believe they recommend avoiding pressure washing or car washes with undercarriage sprays for a little bit, but I've had it on for about two years and it doesn't seem to spray off when I hose off underneath the truck. Been up here 3 years and zero issues daily driving it

I would say between 15-20. I wouldn’t pay more than 15 or so because of mileage. But this market is wild, so a built 100 could fetch 20 easy.

Yeah that's pretty much where I'm expecting for it. Thinking about either doing a private sale or listing on BaT with a reserve around 20

Depend on how you defined fully built. Sliders, lockers, snorkel, skid plates, super charger, new leather, new steering wheel, RTT ......?

Another data point. This one is mine, extensive maintenance (documented in too much detail here on the forum as well). Front bumper, winch, triple locked, sliders, front armor etc. etc.

Why did your oil pump go bad? I've never heard of such a failure on the UZ

This was before I got it, the previous owners had the truck serviced at the same Lexus dealership they bought it from. They noticed that the oil pressure gauge read a little less than the half mark and they thought it was an issue (it isn't all 4.7 read like that at idle). Obviously the Lexus dealer couldn't pass an opportunity to make a completely needless repair at the owner's expense!

I'll expand on this a little bit.
ARB front bumper, dobinsons rear bumper, Ironman4x4 FCP lift kit (440-880 springs), WKOR sliders, ARB base rack, new seat covers, new steering wheel + sew on leather kit, Phoenix automotive head unit (currently not installed), front end converted to a 1999 Land Cruiser using OEM parts, LED upgrade bulbs.

gutted and repainted the brown interior trims to black using leather dye and adhesion promoter (florida sun destroyed them), and the exterior was bedlined with raptorliner (sprayed at 70 PSI, rather smooth finish) no chips or discoloring issues with any of the paint work. Wired for a rear dual battery system, and a few miscelaneous items are included as well, like an ARB awning + brackets, wiring harness for the ARB light bar, etc. Considered lockers, regear and the works but it didn't make financial sense going into college and how little I'd be able to actually utilize those upgrades.

Bedliner certainly isn't everyones favorite, and will absolutely effect the end value of this truck, but for the intended purpose of an overland vehicle, it fares better than paint and will still look factory new in 15-20 years.

I bought mine for $9K out the door and have put $2.6k into it (brakes, lighting, floor mats, baselining and some small creature comforts - no bumpers, sliders or racks). I still have to do a timing belt/water pump/tensioners/fan clutch/etc to it, but I've already turned down $15K for it - unsolicited.

Southern, rust free, well-maintained. Paint and seats desperately need help, but I bought it to drive.

Plan is to keep it as long as possible.

haha, i can imagine how that conversation went.

Customer: Oil pressure needle is only 1/2 way up. i guess I need a new oil pump?
Stealer: "Yes, definitely." "Well we replaced your oil pump , that'll be $1180"
Customer: But the oil pressure looks the same as it did before
Stealer: oh. well at least you have a new oil pump

You forgot the part where they pull the dash apart and move the needle up a little on the motor.
