I've got 2 80 Series cruisers, and am considering a 100 series. What are the options as far as locked axles? Rear only? Is that standard on all, or an option?

Check the slee newbie guide. All your questions will be answered. Or lots of info in a MUD search.

Not quite. The Slee page is great, just like it is for the 80. But in the 5 references to lockers, it doesn't answer this question.

Slee Off-Road 100 Series Newbie Guide

Search turns 1 million questions and answers that have a lot to do with the subject but nothing that specifically answers the question I posed. But if you know a search term that would reflect differently I would sure appreciate it.

1998-1999 A rear diff lock was an option.

2000-2007 Shifted to A-TRAC (standard)

(From Slee's Guide)
"1998
  • Rear Electric Locking Differential Lock was optional equipment
1999
  • Rear Differential Locker was an option
2000
  • A-TRAC (Active Traction Control) added"

The Atrac works well, but I would like a good old fashioned locker as well. I have had trouble in sandy hill climbs with the atrac. I have had no problem with the same hill in my locked 80.

Read this post 80 vs 100 series LC

@ginericLC has wheeled/wrenched on both extensively

That said, you can always add a locker later- ARB, Harrop, etc.
