I would love to go out to Mt. Taylor if you decide to go there, but only have my van with no lo range at this time, nor do I have chains. If that won’t work, have fun wherever you go!

Yeah I’m game, Dumpo- thoughts on a repeat route from last year? Not sure the way up would be advisable without low.
We could go in the way we came out and see what we get into..seeing the top and working towards Cabezon are of interest to me

If there’s any way you can plan a route that I could probably go on I would greatly appreciate it. LSD helps as does the weight of the van with the build in back and 4wd is pretty beefy. I have decent clearance. I have always been interested in Mt. Taylor to Cabezon Peak trail. If it works, it works, otherwise enjoy!

@ststephen69s i just don’t want you to tear up your junk. If you want, you’re welcome to meet us and we’ll see how icy it is. That will be the deciding factor without chains. If it’s not bad I think your rig could do it. If it’s bad then you had a nice drive to Grants for new years

Thanks for the offer but I’m staying up to greet the New Year as I turned 70 a couple of weeks ago, so a friend of mine and I are going to the bosque and sit by the river for midnight. Would like to take you up on that offer sometime in the future though!
