The wife crashed the LC a couple weeks ago and I just spoke with the body shop and was told the frame has "a little sway and a little elevation". Can anyone elaborate on what this really means with regard to repair and the reliability of the repair over time?

Thanks
Tom

Sway is side to side and elevation is up and/or down damage in body shop lingo. The "a little" is the part that is open for interruption, a good frame shop should be able to permanently repair it. Make sure the four wheel alignment numbers come out right when their done, if not they need to redo it.

I had a similar accident in mine two weeks ago (https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=71240) and am a bit smarter now about frame damage. I would be surprised to find that your truck has any frame damage looking at your pics, unless the wheel was struck and the control arm suffered like mine. Your truck looks very repairable...I'd get a second body shop opinion. Having been staring at mine in my garage for two weeks waiting on the insurance company to settle, the front fenders and grille areas in these trucks are very modular and aside from the paintwork...the stuff that appears damaged on your truck is bolt on.
