History: I'm not sure how many owners this 25 has had. But in the course of a few weeks it changed hands twice. "Sally", as my daughter calls her, was in the classic auto trader for a long time, sitting there unappreciated. One of our fellow Mud addics and fellow member of our local TLCA club Yankee Toys, Cruiser_Nerd, finally negotiated the sale for himself, planning to part it out once it got home. But once it was home and he started looking at it, he couldn't bring himself to do it because it was in such good shape. At the time, I had just bought my first restoration Cruiser, a 1964 FJ45LV and wasn't really looking for another project. Everyone knows how that goes. Jim contacted me with some pictures of his new aquisition and asked if I would be interested in it. I went to take a look at it and put a deposit down the next day.

I've added a few requirements like seat belts and a roll bar to be able to take it to Paragon and actually wheel it.

The three years prior to owning the 25, I was competing in the Northeastern US Rock Crawling and Offroad Championship (NEUROC) with my extra cab truggy. Going from a rock buggy to a stock rig wasn't what I had planned. These older trucks are a blast to wheel and actually do very well. Cruiser_Nerd and I took our 25's out at the Coal Mine Cruiser Classic 2005 and kept up with quite a few mildly modified wagons. Even I will admit that we really shouldnt be on some of the blue 3 trails that we ended up on. But the 25's performed great and we came out unscathed.
The future plans will be a frame off restoration back to stock color. Once that happens, Sally will become a weekend road warrior, never to see the trail again.
The purchase of Sally has actually changed my business plan for foxfab4x4.com. Since these trucks are so rare, finding parts for them is very hard. My 25 was almost complete but there was some "unobtanium" that I was missing. So when I can't find it, I make it. I've branched out into restoration parts and actually have a long term FJ25 restoration in progress for a customer right now.
Thanks!
