OK, here is the deal. I have a FJ60 front axle that I am putting under my Mini. I also have a custom widening spacer that bolts to an IFS hub. The gentleman that desinged the spacer intended it to use '78 LC rotor. He indicated that he believed these were vented rotors. Others have told me different. He also said that he thought the vintage range for the '78 rotor ran from '78-'81. I was able to find out that '81's are vented.
Here are the questions:
1) Is it correct that '78-81 rotors bolt onto the hud without the wheel studs passing through them?
2) Is the depth of the rotor from mounting surface to the braking surface the same from '78-81? ie. Are they interchangeable?
3) Is the depth of the rotor from mounting surface to the braking surface the same from the '78-'81 LC to a FJ60? I am aware that the wheel studs pass through the Fj60 rotor but I may be able to work with this.
I have more questions but forgot. Maybe these will cover it...
Your help is greatly appreciatted.
