Hello there
There was a suggestion in one of the threads that it would be nice to have a trailer that is a replical of the 40 rear 1/2 tub. I am working on a prototype. What do you think about the idea?

With the shortage of rust free tubs here, I think it is crime to use a perfectly good one for a trailer.

It doesn't have to be a tub to look like one.

Yep, you could just buy some CCOT Fenders, and Build a nice frame from Scratch..

I think an Early Minitruck Bed with the hooks would be even cooler!

we have thought about the same thing but like they said it would be a shame to cut one up for a trailer when folks are in need

Yeah, now I even feel bad that I told Mark Algazy to mount one over the front door of his shop as a front porch cover?????

The trailer on cruiser outfitters is the coolest trailer for a 40 I have ever seen.

There are lost of trailer supply shops that sell all sorts of axle option, From leaf's to torsion Do a quick search under Wildyoats he built a home made trailer

There is this place in Oregon that builds them also - http://www.tentrax.com/index.html. No affiliation, but it looks like they build a good product. They should for the price they are charging . Maybe the website will give you a few ideas. It is a cool idea, and if I had the money I would definitely buy one.

You all need to check out the trailer section here on Mud. There are guys building trailers from scratch and ones rebuiding military surplus trailers. So, check it out!
