Hello, my Name is jerry also from venezuela now living in Bogota, Colombia.
I bought a Prado 4 doors 90 series here in colombia, since the prado is also made in colombia they have here lots of accasories for it.
Here are some things I just installed
Arb bullbar, 9.5xp warn winch, ipf lights, OME suspension, procomp wheels and geolandar MT 285 tyres, TRD supercharger, 2cm suplements body lift, digital Altimeter compass etc, outback roof console. I just bought an 7th injector kit from TRD for Prado which they said that increase torque and speed like 30% more...my surprise was that the kit only fits american 4runner & tacoma and prado that has america computer system ......So, a lot of waste of money.
I will send you some pictures.

Hi Jerry,

Welcome to the group and Happy New Year 2007. We will be awaiting to see some pics of your baby. :D

It could be useful to know the sources for those little gadgets/accesories as an alternative for what is available here in Venezuela.

Jerry, are you referring to coil springs spacers? Did the front become "harder" at all with the spacers? I'm looking to fit some spacers to move to 285s.

Got any more pics of your Prado? Looks awesome!

Tepui,
I have OME Suspension, also I put OME Spacers to stabilize Front and rear, but It wasnt enough because of the size of the tyres and the bumper's weight and winch. Thats why I went to Toyota and they made steel supplements 2cm to lift a little bit the front. The solution was perfect 285 fits perfect even with the bumper and winch weight

Tepui,
I dont know how to send more pics. The Site wont let me send more.

Welcome, Nice looking PRADO.. wish my Colombian Prado looked like that but it just sits in the Garage in Cartagena only to see daylight every 2 months when i go back to colombia from the states. Post some more pics, it looks awesome. I would suggest you go to a picturehosting site like picturetrail.com and upload your pics there, and then just copy the URL of the pic and post it here.

Thank You,
I will post more pictures.
I oet you know the URL Address

Great looking wheels, what brand are they?

Yokohama Geolandar 285/75/R16
Actually now I'm installing it a custom made header in Toyota Colombia and made some changes like the Air Filter ( K&N)
I will show more pics of it with the Supercharger and the header

Greetings,
The screen on the centre console, is that the stereo unit or is it something more? Also is it a standard item? I ask because yours looks like a 90's series and I don't think that they came with a screen like that here in Australia. They didn't have an inclinometer either.

Regards
D.T.

The screen in the center console i is a Stereo I installed and the inclinometer wasn't include when I bought the 90 series. Also I bought it separately.
Anything else, just let me know .

khasana,

I tried posting a reply on another thread that you were in, because you have your PM's off. I also live in Bogota and was interested in asking you a few questions about where you got your accesories. I dont have a Prado, but have friends that do... my car is a FJ70, also called machito. I just put the rag top on it but would like to do aditional upgrades like the suspension, snorkel and possibly diff locks. I have heard that the accesories in venezuela are a lot cheaper, taking advantage of the exchange rate (Dollar-Bolivares). Do you happen to know of any shops in venezuela that can help me out, specifically in the san cristobal area?

Thanks,
Albertom

Nice looking Prado. Looks like it can definitely take some abuse. Do you happen to have a part number for the inclinometer? I have been trying to source one and yours looks like a newer version. Is it digital? Also, is that a clock in your dash? Very cool!!
