The East Coast FJTT will be at Beasley Knob ORV area on Saturday Sept. 16th. We will meet at the Main Entrance in Blairsville at 9am. We would love to see you there. Contact Jonathan at someguy813@gmail.com with any questions or to let us know you will be able to make it.

hmmm, I may have to delay my lift install favor :)

I am there!

Checking into the closures and will repost asap with any change to the plans.

Let us know, we have a crew ready to go wherever you go in northern GA :)

fyi,

I got the following reply from Jonathan:

"...The trails are open this weekend and will only close if they receive over 1 1/2" of rain before Friday.

We will be going on easy trails during this event and we will have any recovery equipment that you would require.
....
Be sure to pack a lunch.

Jonathan"

If by some miracle the bodyshop gives my FJC back in time, I'd like to go. 60 days and counting, as of tomorrow.

I have all the recovery gear for any trails we would do...let's do it!

Beasley Knob is offically closed and the east team will be joining the central team for an event in KY. Here is some information on this event.

In the event Beasley Knob is closed please join the Central Team in KY. Below is the info for there event:

Event - Boonie Riders Event

Location - Turkey Bay OHV park at Land Between the Lakes, KY

Dates - Arrive Friday Night the 15th and 4-wheel Saturday and Sunday (16-17)

Trails - Turkey Bay OHV park - please pick appropriate trails

Web - http://www.explorekentuckylake.com/lbl/ohv.htm

Notes: Please see below for Rob's run down of the event:

"Most of the guys will be there Fri. night (not me, I have to work) They will be getting breakfast ready around 7 and plan to hit the trails around 8-9, come back to camp for lunch, and hit more trails. Sunday will consist of a mix of ppl trying some crazy trails, the not so crazy ppl doing some lighter trails, and time for everyone to work on stuff they broke and hang out and bs....probably a great time for you to set up tent. You might want to set up over lunch Sat. and Sat. evening as there are a lot of ppl out there then that will be "lookers". From the sounds of it I might have to get back with you later and up the number of vehicles, have had a lot of maybes in the last day or two. Ill set a limit of 50 but as of yet expect to stay in the 20-30 range since none of these others have confirmed."

Sorry for the closure but we don't control nature. Hopefully you can make it to the Ky. event.

hmmm, the GA crew will need to rethink our plans...

Tellico or Lithonia?

*EDIT - Dan, quit using my computer while I am at work! Tellico is too far...Lithonia is a possibility. Any one else local want to join in?

I'd love to, but I'm kinda slow so I need lots of directions!!!

This would be my fist time on a trail...

Anything came out of the "rethink our plans"

This is what I think of the closure at Beasley Knob:

:flipoff2: ...

:whoops: This is what I wanted to say...:censor:

glad that I decided to reread this thread before I went skatin' off up the road. Someone may need to post a thread with the header that Beasley has been closed and the team won't be there for the benefit of those that assume that it's still on according to their understanding of the earlier posts. Oh well, maybe next time.
