I have been getting a few requests for information on our Moab 2011 trip so I thought I would get the information out for everyone to see.

As a club, Cottonland is headed to Moab this year.

Dates for the trip are:

JUNE 27 - JULY 2 (Sunday - Saturday)

We are NOT caravaning as a club out there. Individual arrangements can be made, but for the most part, we are asking everyone to find there own way to Moab. Take all the time you want to get there, and get there when you want. Most of us will be there Sunday afternoon.

We are staying in Tents, RVs and Campers at the Moab KOA

Register ON LINE here:

KOA of Moab Utah | RV Park Kampgrounds of America

They will charge your credit card for ONE NIGHT to hold the cabin all week.

This is a club function for Cottonland Cruisers. We are not having a raffle or any organized events, but we will be wheeling together as a group during the week.

We are asking folks from other clubs to use the buddy system if you decide to come out when we are out there and plan on having your own plan each day. Our core group is up to about 10 vehicles and that is as many as we want to try to get through the trails each day.

The Moab trail system is huge and if you want to wheel with us as a group, please feel free to do so, just plan your group before or after ours as we want to only be responsible for our own club. None of us are Moab experts however, a few of us have been out there a few times.

If you need information on trails and difficulty, be sure to order a copy of the Moab trail guide. This book is excellent and covers Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel Drive Trails, 2nd Edition

We are super excited about this event!

Where's the best place to get the book?

Can't make it this year, but it looks like it will be a lot of fun. Good group going!

BTW, there is commercial service into Moab now. Will cost you about $800 round trip from Jackson.

Not bad considering.

If I go that would be the only way I could make it happen. But I ain't goin. Y'all have fun. Oh and Clutchee, Yawl have fun too.

Ordered my own Moab Guide on Amazon and will borrow Nolen's to copy trip info!!

According to Websters New World Dictionary...
Yawl: a small two masted sailboat rigged fore and aft

I don't think I'd like to be "rigged fore and aft".

just sayin...

Glad to have you aboard J.P.

Who is representing from the Memphis Branch? Auburn Branch?

Let's hear from you guys........

Also, those that I put in the initial thread, they had given me a 85% + that they were going on the trip.

If you are thinking about it hard, toss your name in the thread! It's going to be awesome.
