OK, I have had my first report from my friend Pat about this place.

He went down this weekend. He is the guy that was with me at Superlift in the yellow buggy. He said it was a really, really great place.

Best part.....2.5 hours from Jackson!!!!

He put it on par with Superlift. That says a lot as he and I both love Superlift.

When the Jackson group talked to the owner this weekend, he was about to list the property for sale because of lack of interest in the property. The Porter Lane crew has told him they would try to get 4-5 rides down there a year.

I thought we should try to get a group together and go check it out after the Crawl.....it is close. Down in back in the same day if you want to save $$ or head down to Natchez for the night and jump over to Sicily Island to wheel and home....

Anyway, just thought we should look at this as a club and try to support so it does not go away on us. 2.5 hours from home with rocks sounds awesome.

I have heard it was good, but I have just not given it the attention I should until now. Especially after hearing the landowner is needing assurances.

I would love to go check it out. how many acres?

I was there last year in July it was HOT the trails were hard to find but i`m starting to hear good things about the place. It has a shower for men & the ladys. I hate to see it go!

I'm game.

There are some really nice buggy/truggy/40 trails. Last time i went full sized rigs would take a lot of body damage, i took some door dents and scrapes. I have heard they were supposed to widen some of the trails though.

I spoke to Dennis the owner who has been working hard on cutting new trails and doing some maintenance to bring more folks in he had let it go for a while which is why we haven't been back lately we were riding it at least 3 times a year before then. I did try a few times to host you all over there  but understand it didn't work out. The LA based clubs were maintaining it since he opened the place but its about a 3 - 3 1/2 hr ride for us and hard to rely on the clubs to consistently keep the place up without some work on his part and I think he understands that better now. He's also looking at offering another group looking to create a new offroad park (http://www.louisianaoffroadpark.com/index.php) a deal using his property if they'll help with building the facilities he certainly has the most diverse landscape in the state with rocks, creeks and hill climbs. July and August is really hot we've spent the last two 4th of July's there. We've also done a few November rides that were perfect even toted the Satellite to catch the SEC games with gumbo ;) it would be great to get together again so soon after we visit you all at SCC  Let us know we can set it up

John may have a few from the LA 4X4 Challenge I can't find right now :hhmm:

Set a date in November..........let's do a Bayou/CC run and eat some good food!

I may be interested in an August run....go to Natchez and get a hotel room and shower....

Will do Nolen, I'll start a thread on our end and we'll toss around some dates and talk it up. You all chime in and let us know your thoughts as well.

If you want some company for August to show you around and scout it out let us know what dates you're thinking about and those that want to can make a short trip of it. There is a campgound right across the Street Deere Creek with full hookups and a shower shed with hot showers :hillbilly:

I like Nov. 6.

You're right. Do it whenever, I don't give a s***.

I'll start every post with FOOD, to get Jes's attention maybe lure some others in

Created a thread to discuss the outing and see what date fit the majority best I use this method to gauge out participation its works better than the old method of stamp in on the calendar and they will come :meh: The 5th - 7th works best for me as well. You all feel free to chime in and rip it up
