Yes we thought so to, but we had it off and the diamond plate breaks up the god awful yellow we picked. It goes down the highway about 80mph with no issues on those wheels and gives it more stability.

updated, changed the 3speed transfer case to 4speed thanks to cruiser parts and went with AA twin stick. Very easy install and did not take long at all and went very smoothly.

67 FJ40 with Chev V8 and auto trans... I was told factory transfer case. Problem I have is the vehicle never had a 4x4 shifter installed after the build. I'm finally getting around to the 4wd shifter now and have researched quite a bit. I am not sure the adapter but looks like older AA one...
