Has anyone ever seen or made a mod that adds seatbacks to the split tailgate to make sitting there for extended periods more comfortable? I’ve seen this on some Range Rovers but never on a 100 Series. Thanks!

Potentially dumb question for my 2005 Land Cruiser: Is there SUPPOSED to be a fuse where I’ve highlighted? The fuse box cover says “ST1 7.5a” I’ve had the rig for a year now, daily drive it, and have taken it on several road trips. Thanks! -Will

Being as the fuel cap and owner’s manual specificity mention NOT to use less than 87, that gives me pause.

Taking the 2005 LC with 245k mi. on a 3-wk family road trip through South Dakota, Utah, and Colorado this summer to show the kids the things. Usually I run ethanol-free 87-octane and get 13.5-15.5 mpg. For the road trip, is there good reason to switch to anything else (like 91-93 octane)...

It’s a washer on a virtually identical part on the same engine—I think it’ll be ok.

I don’t know if anyone suggested replacing one with the other. I merely used the gaskets suggested.

GX 470 shares part number with V8 4Runner of same era (off by 1 digit vs. Land Cruiser), but all are 2UZ-FE.

It is designed to be used with 2UZ. All 3 I mentioned fit perfectly. (It’s a Lexus part upgrade.) Around the :50 mark and 7:36 mark -

I replaced all 3 gaskets while I was doing it—including that one.

Mine’s an ‘05 with the part # ending in “80.” I think I’ve sourced one from a Lexus dealer. If it doesn’t come through though, I’ll reach back out. I really appreciate it!
