    Agreed, 300K on an 80 seems like the reputation that helped build toyota into what it is. Toyota built their business on incomparable dependability and I would expect that dependability to be exemplified in their most expensive vehicle.

    Towing once a month, nothing over 4,500 lbs. but always in the mountains. Not much 4wheeling, mostly kid hauling and grocery getting.

    I recently did a transmission oil exchange and sent a sample of the old fluid to a lab to be analyzed. I have never had transmission fluid analyzed before and will not pretend to completely understand the lab report. In fact I am interested to hear from those with more experience on the matter...

    My water pump replacement cost $813 including shop supplies(serpentine belt, coolant, etc).

    I noticed the coolant "disappearing" from my 2008 lc over the last couple oil changes so I had the dealer replace the water pump when I had it in to have them do a tranny flush. The mileage was 92K.
