It does at least appear to be photographed with the blue and yellow California plate and the one underside pic does look quite rust free. And not in that sketchy "sanded and sprayed with black paint"...

I've lost interest in this truck, but for the sake of education would love if you would expand on what you see as red flags.
So far we've come up with the torn seat, cloudy lenses, missing air hose, etc that is unexpected at this price point. I think the cap for the shifter would be like 20...
I agree. They don't have much in the way of maintenance records on it either and at that price I don't want to get it home and find 3k worth of leaks, brakes and carb rebuilding to do.
I would be mighty grateful to any mudder or anyone mud related who took a look. I'll pay for the 3rd party inspection company to take a look if I have to, but I just don't trust them as much.
