More cleaning, pressure washed the carpet and all the ducting and heating system got cleaned. Replaced some of the dead bulbs, the new LEDs were too bright so I left some of the filament type in on the lighter coloured dash lights.

Time flies past pretty quick.. After a 3500km trip through the Pyrenees and French Alps it was time to start the interior fit out... When I find time I'll post the travel/scenic pictures on insta @twofourstory The body floor was decent. I removed the old sound proofing, deep cleaned...

    BJ73 Gearbox ID

Thank you all for the info. I can confirm, on my chassis plate it states H55F So if I understand correctly the H55F box goes across several LCs (only, no other Toyotas?) and it's the input shaft I need to consider. 10-spline F/H input. After reading further, rebuilding might not be far off a...

    BJ73 Gearbox ID

Hi, 1992 BJ73 VM 2.5TD - I believe the synchros are going in my gearbox.. Figuring out the best move forward, rebuilding or sourcing another box (which might be in the same position later..) I am trying to find what gearbox ID I have and if I can source one from another Toyota. Struggling to...

Did you find any gunk in the injection pump or just the staining?

I'm a bit behind my current status... First I'll share a bit on what the trucks been up to. After fixing the fuel issue (for now) I took it on a few local tracks to get its boots wet. It ran great and even managed to cock its leg on some of the rutted hill climbs, unfortunately no pic though...

@Felde Yes, I've completed B and running for 3-4k km now, cycling through fresh fuel. It's generally all good, but I have notice a very very subtle power different on some days, but could be something unrelated or nothing at all. I thought an additive would be worth a go.

Thanks Ralf, I think you're right, I've had a look into this a bit further: What it is: Commonly called diesel bug, diesel pest, or fuel fungus, it’s not a single organism but a mix of bacteria, yeasts, and fungi that grow at the interface between diesel fuel and water in tanks. Root cause...

Bolt Part Number for Spindle, Steering Knuckle

Hi, I am rebuilding the swivel hubs and noticed someone has stretched a few of the bolts that hold the steering knuckle on - I need to replace them but I am struggling to find a part number. BJ73 1992 2.4TD Approx size: M10 x 1mm x 30mm I'm guessing it's used across the vehicle so they...

Whilst working on the engine I noticed some dirt pass though the clear fuel line, this lead me to flushing the lines and cleaning the fuel tank where I found the root cause! I'm not quite sure where this gunk came from, it could be something to do with the glue that was used around the injector...

The full story and problem (just incase someone experiences the same issue) there is a TLDR below: I purchased the vehicle and drove it back ~200km. It was mostly motorway driving and on one of the long hills under load it had some slight dips in power. The rest of the journey was fine...
