Brake lights come on when accelerating.

When checking the rough running it got dark on me. I reved the motor from under the hood. They came on and stayed on until the brake pedal was pressed. Happend 3 x.

Pedal height adjustment was the Gremlin. Thanks. Also the rough running is solved this AM. Injector wire was arcing to the valve cover. I discovered it after I unwrapped the wires further down from the EGR. Thanks for all the Mud help on that.

Brake lights come on when accelerating.

I was thinking the ECU was bad since all of the ignition components have been replaced and it is still misfiring. Then I noticed the brake lights coming on. So I guess I should hunt down this Gremlin before I buy a new ECU.

Return spring seems fine. I did an oem Brake Booster replacement 1 month ago. Stupid and unlikely question, but could the vacuum be pulling the ppeda pedal enough to engage the switch under acceleration?

Running Rich (on Poor Man’s Income)

Thanks. I‘m going to go ahead and do new cap, rotor, and plugs. (i’ve got the money and time and who knows what the future holds.) The wire harness at the firewall looks kind of suspect, I will take a closer look at that this evening. It definitely looks like the injector goes from good to...
