Is that where they are located on the 2F? Mine is in the head right next to the exhaust manifold. I would like to get that thermostat housing.

1973 FJ40 Stock 1F. Vehicle sat for a few months since last driven. At idle the temperature gauge is going all the way to the left within 10 minutes. I took out thermostat and tested in boiling water, opened fine. Replaced the sending unit - no change. Ran motor with no thermostat and cap...

No, I didn't. When I took the driveshaft off to inspect the u-joints to find nothing wrong there, I put the driveshaft back on and the noise quit. I know all nuts and bolts on the driveshaft were tight before R&R. Go figure??😁

You can drive about a 45 mi stretch of beach on Padre Island if you get on it from South Padre Island, Texas the very southern end of it.

I quickly got back some responses. Everything from two 350s that were pretty complete for $500 each. One guy has a couple of blocks with heads for $200 each. Another guy's got a crate motor with everything on it for $2500 or without the carburetor distributor intake etc it's 2000. Another guy...
