Sorry to resurrect this thread, but can anyone confirm the torque specs for the bolts holding the oil filter adapter to the engine block? I see 51 ft lbs for the oil cooler bolt and I've seen 14 ft lbs for all the mounting bolts on ClubLexus but I can't find a diagram for them to confirm. Thanks.
Yeah I would sell you the accumulator separately. I think that was probably the bulk of my issue but the motor was just about toast as well. Shoot me a private message and we can work out the details. I'll probably just toss in the o-ring, spring, and pipe - they cost about $7 together.
I eventually fixed this issue by buying new OEM booster motor/pump/accumulator from Toyota ($815). I spent months troubleshooting and narrowed it down to both a worn out motor and accumulator that no longer held pressure. I had just acquired and planned to install a remanufactured motor...
Hi all - eventually cured my brake issues by buying new OEM booster motor/pump/accumulator from Toyota ($815). I had acquired and planned to install a remanufactured motor (brushes, commutator, bearings) and new OEM accumulator with o-ring, spring, and pipe, however the system failed about 700...
An update to my post #476:
At this point I've rebuilt the master cylinder, replaced the accumulator o-ring, spring and pipe, cleaned out the motor, and replaced the unit on the vehicle. I bled the system pretty thoroughly using techstream and pedal, and then actuated the VSC solenoids (SRMF &...
You may have a point there - I'm not seeing an easy way of getting them on and off.
My motor doesn't look great, but it also doesn't appear to be the cause of my issues. The brushes and commutator still have some life left, though one of the bearings is nearing its end. I'm thinking a likely...
Side note - I know Eurton Electric will refurb the motor for you. Has anyone tried their rebuild kit?
Toyota, Lexus, Mitsubishi ABS Pump Motor Rebuild Kit - https://store.eurtonelectric.com/toyotalexusmitsubishiabspumpmotorrebuildkit.aspx
Considering this route if Eurton will confirm it...
Thanks for those grommet part numbers. I already did the master cylinder rebuild so I should be good to go there.
Has anyone had luck finding a reman'd part?
I think your theory makes sense. I've tried flushing and bleeding the fluid and rebuilding the master cylinder but I think I may have to try a new accumulator.
Hoping the brake booster experts here can shed some light on the issue I'm having... There's a periodic chugging/cycling noise coming from the brake booster/accumulator/reservoir area that happens constantly when the ignition is turned to ON or the vehicle is running. Brakes work fine and there...
