Hey fellas im looking to but a h151 gearbox into my 75 series ute instead of a h55 just wondering if someone coukd tell me what that involves modification wise or will it just bolt straight in? Are the 79 series running this gearbox and if so can i just use a h151 from an 80 series and use 79...

Everyone tells me that 5th is very weak in a h55 and that a h151 is by far the strongest box

Yer just looking to put a stock 12v p pump i dont want anything more than that and yer im well aware of what can be acheived with a toyota engine but ive just always wanted to do a cummins conversiob

Ah thats really helpful thanks alot i think im gonna go for a h151 as everyone says they are the strongest. And ive also sourced a bloke who has made the bell housing cobversion plate for one of these before so he still has the templates to make another. Im not wanting to run any silly power...

A 70 series has a 6cylinder in it as standard which is basically the same dimensions as a 6bt and they do actually put them in tractors hahahA

Ah that shouldnt be a drama i never tow anything i only use it to commute, 4wding, and carrying my motocross bike so should be fine?

Its a 5 speed manuel in there at the moment its the standard 2h gearbox you think that will he ok?
