To those more knowledgeable and experienced,
I’ve got 2f with a misfire on cylinders 1&2. I’ve been daily driving the truck since 2019, done a lot of work including a head rebuild in the last 5 years. I was driving a short distance around town last week and noticed the beginnings of a rough...
1984 fj60. I’ve been chasing an electrical gremlin for the last few months. I noticed a 2-3 months back that my aftermarket radio and climate control fan would periodically shut off while driving, then turn back on. I also had a bout or two of a totally dead battery requiring a wall based...
I found one and had it shipped to OTM, very grateful to Cole for letting me get it dropped there. That one Brooke has must be solid gold. Here’s a pic of what I got. It’s a little warped but I think I can pull it out. Threw some rattle can on it a few days ago.
I’ve found an old style ARB front bumper for my 60 and need to get it from broad run, Virginia to Birmingham, Al. I’ve got possible drop point in Medina, TN if you aren’t coming the whole way.
@PVCsnorkel I have need for the square bolt pattern steering box. Can you send me a pic to make sure we are talking about the same version? Here's a shot of what I have.
I suppose I should add, I do see some grey/white smoke from the exhaust for the first few minutes with startup. I’ve never had to add oil but didn’t want to leave that bit out. Seems that the misfire goes away around the same time the smoke does
No I haven’t. They were adjusted by the local cruiser mechanic about a year and a half ago when the head was rebuilt, but I’ve never touched them myself
Good evening, all.
I’ve been making some real progress on my 1984 FJ60 with original 2F. I’ve now driven it 20k miles since I got it 3+ years ago (fixing and learning as I go), but I’m hitting a snag and need some guidance.
Cylinder 3 is misfiring during warmup consistently. I’ll start it up...
I’ll get back with you as soon as I’m home (Tuesday). I have a mid year 1984, and I need to check the bolt pattern to be sure. Apparently there’s a square kind vs a trapezoidal kind.
