Please help in fixing two very annoying issues. Idle&Speedo

I fixed the rough idle!!!! Wahoo :bounce: As promised here is what was wrong: It was the blanking O2 sensor plug. I replaced the O2 sensors about 9mo ago and overlooked them in my T/S, but sure enough I had a stored code of 26. I knew there was no way it was the sensor itself but sure enough...

Please help in fixing two very annoying issues. Idle&Speedo

Hello, I am having trouble finding the cause of two very annoying issues. I have done a done of searching in this forum and a lot of the time I find people that have had the same issues I am having, but no one seems to follow up once they fix the issue. I hear by promise that when I fix these...

    Modifying Spartan Locker

Understood but to test myself I have even popped it into neutral and is still locks. Also I am aware it could be my VC binding up causing an unequal load from front to back but I have taken the driveshaft off and tested the VC and it is functioning as intended.

    Modifying Spartan Locker

Who here thinks it would be a bad idea to slightly trim the springs that expand the ratcheting pucks in my spartan locker? I measured my locker when I put it in and it was within spec but on the tight side. Even when I coast into turns its a 50/50 if its gonna unlock. I was thinking if it had...

Another Headgasket Bites The Dust :(

Finished my rebuild yesterday and I'm extremely happy. It fired up right away, no CEL and is noticeably smoother. I definitely have more power, I'm not sure if it's from better compression from the head or because I advanced the timing to 6* in stead of the 3* the FSM recommends. I was...

Another Headgasket Bites The Dust :(

Well I should have finished today but some friends came by the shop mid-day with a few beers so production stopped. All I have left to do is button a few things up like the alternator, plug in all of the sensors, assemble intake manifold and ect. For the record I did get new head bolts but I...

Another Headgasket Bites The Dust :(

I made a bunch more progress, I have the head on but not torqued. The only thing that concerning me is how clean I was able to get the block. I got all residue off and everything is smooth, there is just some minor pitting. This is the worst area, should I be concerned?

Another Headgasket Bites The Dust :(

Coby at Quality Cylinder Head Specialist is the man to see. I can't say enough good things about his business. He is super friendly, he let me ask all the questions I wanted and come look at his shop before I had the work done. Also my TLC was not his first, he has done many and was working on...

Another Headgasket Bites The Dust :(

Just got my head back from the machinist and I'm really starting to feel good about this project. He did an amazing job at an extremely reasonable price. He did a full head job that included inspecting and cleaning everything, replacing all the valve seals and re-shimming all my valves. He also...
