Was having trouble with the rear door handle removal. Ended up driving the pin holding the interior handle thru the plastic part under the chrome piece. Is this normal it chewed up the black plastic part when the pin was pushed out.
Sorry late arrival here. I can feel you on working on a 40 that most would have parted out. Great work on rhe floor pans and bfh work to straighten the tub.
The bottom sections are real steel. They fit pretty good so far, granted this is the first door of four that i have patches for. I will continue to give my opinion and thoughts on these panels moving forward. The sections about the standard real steel patch in my own making.

The top got welded and fiberglass riveted. Has not been painted. Ordered front door and ambulance door patches from ccot. There should soon be an update on that and
I have a poly tank in my 77. It was in it when i bought it. A metal tank is on my list. The poly tank throws the gas gauge off by 1/3 of the tank which is irritating. It is worth the extra to have the proper tank with the extra capacity. I think it’s about 4 gallons bigger.
