It's been ages since I've posted on here sorry... too much going on. I got the 105 looking pretty good and performing well, then I put it sideways into a tree in the wet a few weeks ago. It wasn't a big deal I was just going to keep driving it until I could afford to do the panel work.... then I...
Finally got the body lift temporarily sorted, I need to have the 105 on the road next week so finished it in a hurry. Just need to adjust the shifter linkage as it needs an extra push to lock into Park to get the key out now. I had to cut the hole through the firewall a bit bigger, the seal...
Sitting pretty on new 2 inch body lift, no more scrubbing :) 35s look too small now... time to find some more $$ to throw at some 37s :/ ...and bumpers...
Mine leaks as well, I've got it in just the right spot at the moment and it hasn't let much water in recently. My new roof rack covers in now so it's no use anymore. Some time in the future I'll be ripping the whole set up and welding some sheet in there and respraying the roof, they're more...
Finally finished my 2" body lift last night, haven't got any daytime pics yet... time to start working on custom mounts and winch mount for the ARB bar I picked up cheap. It's a 100 series IFS bar so different chassis spacing, plus it's white so needs a colour change
I installed a 2" kit on the weekend from Lux Lifts here in Australia, I'll post up some details once I get the steering and radiator mounts sorted. This thread helped me with that, thanks guys.
A bit of time has passed, time for an update. Diff oils have now been changed for fully synthetic. The body lift is almost done, I swapped out the body mount bushes at the same time, it was a little more work but when I saw the state of the bushes I was pulling out I was glad to be replacing...
Finally got the body lift in on Saturday, all new body mounts too. I haven't sorted out the steering shaft extension or radiator relocation yet but the interior is all back together now so that feels good. Hopefully no more scrubbing from the 35s now. Bolted in some new headlights too, just have...
Yes it's a 105. Is it 25 years to import from Aus? Can you get around it because the 105 was a model that was never offered for sale new in USA? I know that the case if we're importing to Aus, it's only the left hand drive that we have to change if the car doesn't pass as a historical vehicle.
Put my roofrack on and added a windscreen sticker. Massive power gains from both mods :) Got under the carpet and loosened all the body mount bolts so now she's off the road until I finish the body lift. Time to get moving on my custom bars after that...
