Who knows when the last service was done on it. This poor truck was literally rode hard and put away wet. I’ve been slowly working on it the last five years.
We put new tie rod ends on it. They’re probably way off though. It needs to be aligned but now I’m thinking the hubs are shot.
I have a 73 FJ40 that has wheels that are toed out pretty bad. The passenger side is pretty much pointed right when the steering is pointed straight. When I lift it up, I can move that wheel left and right without the steering rods moving. I know I have hub/wheel issues but trying to figure out...
I have a jump seat frame in great condition. This is a longer version seat so it would be pre-1974 I believe. I have the cover and foam too but they’re shot. The seat cover does have the screw grommets and screws though. $150.
I’m late to this thread. Just installed my passenger side last night. They stick out a little but look fine. I added weatherstripping on mine too so they won’t rattle. They close and open perfect with that weatherstripping and don’t “clang” any.
I didn’t ever install it. I have an aftermarket roll cage that the previous owner put on and it won’t work for me. Looking at it though, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with hard doors. The soft ones look like they cover the same area and it worked with them.
Sorry, I forgot to put that in the ad I guess. I have $200 in it. I’d like to get what I have in it back. Thanks. Let me know if you have any questions.
Have a Bestop soft top for sale. The pictures on the red truck are where it was on the guy I bought it froms truck. I haven’t ever installed it. It will need the following parts from Bestop:
- rear corner retainers
- side belt retainers
- windshield retainers
- 1” hook strap
- 2 buckle straps...
