My current 40 is 1976, i was not the guy that bought your dad's FJ. Funny i sold this one around 2004ish to someone in Canal Fulton it was a 1978 white all original. Its still around that way guy named Larry has it now.

I used an old Thera-band and cut it up for gaskets for metal on metal parts.

Also to Armycrpt point about investments , i agree on being careful making 40's investments. IT depends on the Truck.......what is frusttrating to me is that i see alot of rust buckets for sale for way to much .... with the sales pitch or claim that if you fix it up its worth 40K ..... and...

It seems to be all there and really loved. Cant go wrong buying this, it would be just like money in the bank and accruing interest. but while having whole lot of fun!

Took the 40 on a long highway drive i Wanted to check out road noise and if any hardtop rattles i also replaced the radiator as it was leaking a little and wanted to see if it stayed cool as i now have a big condenser in front of it blocking air flow Made a trip to mentor headlands on lake Erie
