There is a ‘97 80 series for sale in Vegas. It’s not mine but I will go have a look if anyone here is interested. Seems a little overpriced to me. However, I have no idea how many miles are on her.

I have a 94 US Spec LC and no starter relay here. I was having the same problem and replaced the started with a cheap rebuild because it was accessible immediately. However, after 3 months it started doing it again. So I pulled the trigger on a denso one, like I should have in the first place...
Honestly, lots of paper towels and some brake part cleaner worked well on the inner. However the outer of the housings took about an hour to knock off the old mud with a putty knife and a screwdriver just to get to the bolts to disassemble. Then I spent close to 4 hours per side scrubbing each...
Did one last adventure on bad wheel bearings. Then tore apart and rebuilt the front end. All of it, tie rods and all bushings.
She rides like a totally new truck!
I picked up a Lc this color in about this shape with a blown head gasket without lockers for $800. I think I got a deal however I would not have payed much more for it with a blown motor.
There is my two cents for what its worth. that in $5 will get you a coffee.
Im so sorry buddy! I have my fingers crossed that the damage is not to extensive. I have a small hoard of 80 series misc parts and I live in Henderson so hit me up if you end up needing to source some stuff or need a hand putting her back together.
Well my plan with this truck is a bit of a multi use vehicle. I plan on loading it out with a roof rack and along with front and rear bumpers. As well as using it to haul gear for work I work as a photo assistant and a grip sot the gear is heavy typically shoots here in vegas are either on the...
I'm looking to get the OME 2.5 lift but I was wondering what everyone's pros and cons where before I pulled the trigger. I'm thinking about getting the firm as opposed to the medium. What is everyone's thought on their lift and what would you all have done differently.
Thanks
I picked up a complete gasket kit, it was a DNJ kit. However, I wasn't happy with the quality and after talking to the machine shop they recommended either a felpro head gasket or Toyota factory head gasket. The felpro is impossible to sorce so I did use a combination of a few of the DNJ gaskets...
I can't agree with Uncle Meat more. FSM is a must and take pictures the whole way through. There where times the pics saved my bacon as far as some of the connections go. As long as you follow the FSM you can't mess it up.
I have every receipt. So shortly I will calculate a total on what I'm into it. I think I'm right around 3k. However, everything is new. with the exception of the rotating assembly and the block.
It was all me. It's been open up and my head was cracked and way out. So it took me almost 2 months to source a good useable core. It came from Florida via greyhound I had it in 3 days and had everything gone through at the machine shop.
