Nevermind... just found a post referencing that spot as a known rust out area. Time to pull out the welder I guess.

Failed a state safety inspection today for a "hole in the frame". See pic. Does anyone know if there originally may have been a drain hole in this spot and mine got rusty OR if this is truly a rust-thru of the cross-member. Its by the driver's side rear tire. Thanks for insight.

Ditto on the above. My lower blower vent on the drivers side all of a sudden had no airflow. Looked under there and the carpet had covered the air outlet. I'm not sure how it got folded up and covered the vent, but hey, I'm all for a free fix.

Sell it and get a non-AHC model. Use the extra cash on some upgrades. You wont have near the headaches and time spent agonizing over how best to remove/replace the AHC. Time is valuable.
