Definitely competent, did my timing belt, water pump, alternator, suspension, etc. on the Tundra. Just need knowledge and guidance.

Just gotta figure out the transmission issue, but I bought it for a good price knowing there is a problem. At least my friend who knows all things LCs and LX470s said it was a great deal.

Thanks for the input. Looks I need to make sure I give it a good fill and see if the transmission works. My assumption is the previous owner did not realize there was a leak and drove it. The trans is definitely starved of fluid, but if he didn't drive too much while it was starved of fluid...

Hi all, just bought my family a 2001 LX470 with 127k miles. Looking forward to learning a lot from this forum and hopefully contributing. I also have an '06 Dbl Cab Tundra, so I'm somewhat familiar with the engine, but I'm a complete noobie when it comes to the rest of our 100 series.
