On the bison gear it doesn’t block visibility much at all. From my view from the drivers seat I can only see the very bottom of the shelf so doesn’t obscure much at all.

Hah yea it’s nice. I saw you can now buy it separately. I was on the fence about getting the barrier but at the time buying it bundled with the shelf was the only option so I bit the bullet.
I recently got the Bison Gear shelf + cargo barrier and the side panels as well. I like that the barrier can fold up and is secured by magnets if I need the space to load things with the 2nd row folded down. I’ll admit I must have missed it in the description that it folds up, as I was prepared...

I came across the diode dynamics at a pretty good price so finally pulled the trigger.
Install was pretty straight forward, and the Ronin brackets worked great. They don’t come with any instructions but to note the “notch” in the bracket will need to face outwards. There’s a tab on the bumper...
I tried to figure this out for a long time too after coming across a GX on Instagram with them. I just purchased the Ronin brackets which are advertised to work for both the Bajas and the Diode Dynamics SSC1. I haven't installed mine yet but planning on going with the Diode Dynamics.
