Injection pump fuel return fitting welded shut

UPDATE: It definitely was welded up. I drilled it out and fitted a new return line. Originally I thought this was a typical farm fix but it runs just fine after I reverted it. I may do an oil sample at the next service interval to see if this resolves the fuel contamination issue.

Injection pump fuel return fitting welded shut

I was doing a once-over on my 12H-T fuel system and found that there is supposed to be a fuel return line, but there isn't one to speak of on mine. In fact it looks like the previous owner must have put a slug of weld inside the fitting to seal it shut. That can't be good? The engine has been...

    AC blower fan rotation direction

The plastic fan blade molding only goes onto the shaft in one orientation, so it's not possible to flip it. You'd think that reversing the blade direction would reverse the airflow direction but in reality all the configurations blow air in the same direction, just with different...

    AC blower fan rotation direction

I gave up on forum help and did a bunch of research to figure this out for myself. Clockwise is the correct rotation direction. Posting this in case anyone else needs this information. The fan uses forward-curved blades as shown by diagram (a) in the picture below. It's counter-intuitive, but...

    AC blower fan rotation direction

Did some more research/experimentation and you can indeed change the rotation direction by swapping the polarity. I pulled the fan apart and it's not possible to swap the wires internally without modification. The fan direction isn't right though so I'm starting to think there's some wires...

    AC blower fan rotation direction

Any other 70 Series owners out there able to confirm? Looking from the top, mine currently spins anti-clockwise and it doesn't seem right, given that the blades are traveling away from the outlet location. The previous owner opened the motor up at one point and might've reversed the polarity...

    Identify these 60-Series rims?

Sure enough, no wonder I couldn't find them. Seems like they're common enough and would do the job. Offset doesn't really bother me too much but I'll look into it anyway.

    Identify these 60-Series rims?

I've been on the lookout for some nice steel rims to replace the splitties on my 75-Series ute. These 60-series rims look fantastic but there doesn't seem to be much information about them. Are they just a stock Toyota steel rim? If so, I'd imagine they're fairly common and should work with...

Oiled air filter + Paper filter = ??

Hey fellas, so I stumbled on this question when I picked up a paper air filter for my 12H-T 'Cruiser: Long story short, I have a thin Unifilter (read: oiled) foam sleeve that slips right over the paper filter. I figured it would be nice to have two levels of filtration. Is this approach...
