Tried that but the tank is in the way. I eventually cut them off and then inserted the new ones from the correct side. Had to loosen 2 of the exhaust mounts to be able to move the exhaust a 'ball hair' width to get the shackle in.

To do this I must either drop the tank or loosen the exhaust.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I will have to cut them out and then loosen the exhaust and then force it in. Is it a big job to drop the tank?

They are part of the towbar.

That That explains it, previous owner put them in the wrong way, but HOW??? If they cannot come out then surely they cannot go in!

Sure, cutting them off is easy, but I cannot 'cut them in' :)

This is not true, I purchased a 16571-17020 part and it is at least an inch short on both ends. The shape is identical however the ends are too short

I contacted the local Toyota dealer and the response was "Thanks for your enquiry today. Unfortunately the top hose for your vehicle has been discontinued by Toyota Japan. Please find below the price for your bottom hose which is available from Toyota new Zealand. 16572-17030 - $44.85inc gst"

Hi there, I believe the top radiator hose for the PZJ70 engine has been discontinued. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement part from in Australia or NZ?
