Did you get the DM that I sent on Friday with the address? I don't want to seem pushy or anything, I just want to make sure that you know I'm not ignoring you.

Actually I need the other piece as well. PO ripped it out a long time ago. If you have it and it's not a huge inconvenience, that would be awesome!

    You've been spotted

My dad sent me this pic of an FJ40 on the 10. Looks like somebody has a new project.

Even desert trucks can get a little rusty

We haven't made a lot of (visible) progress on the FJ40 project since before the holidays. Yesterday, I took the carb off and I finished it this afternoon. This thing was filthy. I'm hoping I did everything correctly. I took a ton of pictures and retraced my steps. I watched pin head's you tube...

That red fuel cell was one of the first things to go after we drove around the block a couple of times and parked it. The kids have to ride in that spot. I already bought a steal oem repro tank. Yours sounds like a really nice option, though. Btw, I found this sticker in the old service manual I...

    You've been spotted

Did anyone on here drive the front way to Crown King yesterday? Husband and I spotted an FJ40 yesterday. It had a white hardtop and fenders, and brown quarter panels. I couldn't get a picture. Whoever it was, was surrounded by a bunch of jeeps, parked at one of the first staging areas just off I-17.

Old Navy, of all places. I was picking up some flannel shirts and couldn't resist this shirt when I saw it.

I decided that the bed was bad enough that I just needed to buy a new panel. I'm waiting on its arrival. I bought a new gas tank from CCOT. I test fitted it and it looks good. I bought a used fuel vapor separator off ebay. The charcoal canister looks like the original, so I'm not sure how...

Even desert trucks can get a little rusty

More paint/crud removal this morning. I'm still using stripper today, since all my abrasive got wet in the latest storm. Hopefully it'll be dry tomorrow for blasting. The bed overall looks pretty good. I'll have to repair rusted through holes at the mounting points and a couple of spots where...

Even desert trucks can get a little rusty

I saw your post a while ago. Dang. Mine isn't quite to that point, although it's hard to say just how bad it is with all the junk welded on there.

The last tags were from 2002, and the owner previous to me never registered it, so it's been rambling around an acreage in Cave Creek for the last 15 years since he bought it, from someone else in Cave Creek. I'll look into joining CSC when my Landcruiser is a functioning vehicle again.
