I'm having the same issue it seems. But having trouble locating that red arrow part. I was able to open the panel and stick my hand inside the door to play with everything I can see but the door won't open. Nor sure I'm pulling on the right part though. Took a few pics, but can't find much...

The sheared studs are out. One of the threads has wallowed... I should have been more clear on this.

After driving 1400 miles on the road with 37" tires and wheeling for over a week in Moab, my knuckle studs went loose and snapped on the trail. Apparently, that's a common issue and I got some good info from the following thread: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/knuckle-stud-thread.326101/...
