    MN > MEX Build/Maintenance/Route Advice

I've seen this on a few threads but haven't used it. I normally use OBD2 plug and the app on my phone for issues... I'm guessing that this does way more than OBDII with an app? Allows you to see/do more? It looks like I can install on my MacBook Pro (How to run Techstream on a Mac -...

    MN > MEX Build/Maintenance/Route Advice

this is a good list! Thanks to all of you. Timing belt and pump were done at 208k CV’s were repacked with grease @ 215k and were in good shape at the time. May be time to bite the bullet and get new OEM ones. They are expensive though!! Probably time for new hub flanges and bearing packing...

    MN > MEX Build/Maintenance/Route Advice

I'm planning a trip from Minnesota, through the Southwest (Colorado for a wedding and some adventure) and then down through Mexico to Oaxaca. I'll be staying in Oaxaca for about 2.5 months so I would like to have my trusty, and fairly built out 100 series to help with getting around and possibly...

    ZZ's M416 style trailer build

I also would love to see what the finished product turned out like. Would also love to pick your brain for 20mins on the phone about how to do this... about to embark on the exact same mission next week and need some product recommendations, tube sizing, and some general brain power.

seat warmers not working; what to check first

I'm having the same issues. It seems like these are the steps I read from above posts: 1. If both seats are not heating, check the fuse (#61) 2. If one seat is heating and the lights in the center console do not light up, check the connection under the center console. Here's the bulb number if...

    Used 1991 80 220k Buying advice

Yea there's a lot of unknowns with this truck. The guy said that he purchased it as a running and well driving project but it definitely needs some TLC. I think there may have been some shotty repairs and some undisclosed replacements made. If cutting out the dual cats is of any indication, I...

    Used 1991 80 220k Buying advice

Thanks for the feedback folks. I think I'll hold off on this one unless he's willing to give it away for a song. It seems like there may have been some rust issues in the past that were not repaired properly, seems like there are a lot of grease and oil leaks that may be a chore to trace and...

I have a chance to pick up a 1991 LC that is in pretty good shape. New rear drum brakes, new shocks, refurb'd wheels, diff fluids flushed, looks fairly clean underneath. The bad, both cats have been cut out and replaced with pipe. Back window wiper has been removed as the motor went out. Slight...

100 owners, show me your rooftop cargo box

Old fiberglass cargo box from the 90’s. Arc is the company name... I put 180w of flexible solar on top to power my aux batteries and installed some Yakima quick connect clamps to make it easy on and off.

Center Differential Lock Transfer Indicator Switch Problem

It could be your dash indicator lights if you feel/hear it engage and then hear it "snap" on/off. Otherwise, just replace the part listed in this thread and see if that fixes the indicator lights. It's a one banana job and only costs a few bucks.
