    P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire

Yeah that's what I'm worried about this point, I suppose it's possible it's an injector issue? But not sure which is more likely at this point. I may just take it in for a professional diagnosis at this point.

    P0306 - Cylinder 6 misfire

Now for the current frustration I'm dealing with, getting a P0306 misfire code. The first time it popped up, it started running really poorly, rough idle and still ran rough even at speed. I've changed the ignition coil and all 8 spark plugs which took care of it for about 2 weeks, and it...

    Seafoam Success Story

Yes! Hoping for the best. I definitely plan on keeping the oil change frequency under 5k. I don't have previous maintenance history, which of course isn't ideal but the price was right at the time. So trying to baseline it and do the right things going forward.

    Seafoam Success Story

Man I wish the internet could deliver a straight answer to what a "better oil" is. Not trying to open a can of worms, but all sorts of people put forth arguments on that one. I believe I use quality oil, but some may disagree.

    Seafoam Success Story

So I started getting the dreaded timing chain slap during pretty much every time I drove my 2008 LC200 w/ 195k miles. It would most often appear in the first 10 minutes of driving but eventually go away. I was tempting to dive right in a fix it "the right way" by replacing the driver side...

Any luck getting to the bottom of hard shift from park when its cold? Im experiencing something very similar. 2008 with 195k here.

    Another sticky shifter post

Thanks everybody the for inputs, I drove it a bit today and I can't say definitively but I think it was a little better after putting it through the motions a handful of times. It is still strange to me this is something experienced in these vehicles, but hopefully it means it isn't too...

Yeah that's not a bad idea, it appears the rod is available for not that much. The shift lever coming off the trans was fairly stiff moving it when it was disconnected from the linkage but I have nothing to compare it to, after the leverage of the shifter linkages maybe it was normal.

That is so weird, I've come across similar stories searching... how can this be? I'm so hesitant to be what feels like forcing the shifter on my new to me LC.

I don't see that, and I have been a long time forum user. I know some forums limit new users (I only have a couple psots) but editing seems like a weird thing to restrict. edit: The edit feature did just appear, maybe it is only available after a handful of posts?? too funny, but it is there now.

Hah sorry just looked back and noticed one person posted both, thanks. I'm just feeling a little flustered. Can I not edit my posts to fix? I'm getting my ass kicked by everything right now, hah.

Thank you both for the info and diagrams. So I did disconnect the shifting rod in the post from linuxgod, and the shifter in the cab moves freely, so I'm no longer suspicious that its gummed up or dirty. But that makes me nervous that it's something in the trans... not feeling very optimistic at...

    Another sticky shifter post

Hello! I know this has been posted about before but looking through the search results I only found some older threads without any real fixes. With some time passed, figured I would see if this is something someone has remedied. I have a new to me 2008 Land Cruiser, I bought it, drove it for a...

Welcome to the 200 Series Forums: Start Here and Read First

Hello, happy to finally be a part of the club. Yesterday I purchased a 2008 with 194k miles. First LC for me but have always wanted one. Even with the age and mileage it's one of the best driving vehicles Ive ever owned. My only dilemma at the moment is about tires, they're near the end of their...
