Was able to get all the connecting rod bolts out but 1 was a PITA. Had to apply heat and hit the bolt with more force and was able to get it out the next day. Maybe should have just reused them and gone through the 4 torquing sessions as coax had indicated previously. Involved more time and...

Clamped it, 5 hits and it came out. Will try the other 5 tomorrow, finished cleaning all the piston grooves. The bolts will arrive maybe Friday and hopefully, it'll be easy fitting them in. The Hastings piston rings arrived today. Got the Clevite bearings yesterday.

Got the block back from the machine shop. I want to verify the clearance with Plastigage so this will be the 3rd retorque. And after checking the results the final install with be the 4th retorque. The rod bolts are still within spec. The machinist mentioned no need to plastigage it. So if...
