Hello, I'm looking for a hardtop for my 1978 fj40. Glass isn't necessary, but would prefer all other parts to be very good to excellent condition. I have a hard top but it needs more work than I want to tackle.

The engine was finished and mated with the rest of the drivetrain this past week. Here are a few pics as it was being built and just before dropping it in.
Here is a pic of the suspension components before it was installed. Went with 2.5" OME suspension. Only change was the shocks. I have Fox 2.0 shocks that I'll be putting on soon.
Once welds were done, we got the frame sandblasted, primed, and painted. Frame was very solid. There were just a few places that had some pitting, but nothing to difficult.
My motor was still mid build so we borrowed a donor LS to mark our engine mount locations. We ended up a bit forward and about an inch to the driver's idea from hitting our shifter location, but I was afraid to go any further left. Drivers side will be tight between the headers and the...
Used Proffits reverse shackle parts. These front hangers are seriously heavy duty. Maybe a bit overkill, but is there such a thing? We had to cut some notches on the driver side to clear the saginaw PS mount.
GM NV4500 and original 4 speed tcase both got a full rebuild once the adapters arrived. Rebuild was done locally with someone I trust that only uses quality parts. Very happy with how they turned out. Now we're ready to do some test fitting.
