So you want 35" tires? DIY article.

I regretted fitting 35's onto my 100 Series. I've learned to be honest about how much time I actually spend on terrain that requires 35's (there isn't really any), vs all of the drawbacks of the weight and circumference of those tires. Yes it rolled over big holes, etc, easier, but the benefits...

    GX 460 versus....

They all have a cooler inside the radiator. It's used to get the fluid up to temp and then also to cool it once you're on the road. No US models came with the additional external cooler, at least until recently, I think the off road package 2020 one has it... "Luxury models are available with...

    GX 460 versus....

I had a 100, was looking to get a 200, and ended up with a 150. I ultimately ended up getting something smaller, as I live in Seattle, and it just fits everywhere better, in the city and on the trails. I also got a killer deal on a base model, and have been adding OEM features as I go at a...

How To: Add Crawl Control and Multi Terrain Select to GX 460

I did this last year, and it is truly an amazing feature set, especially crawl control. There are a few spots that my old LandCruiser with a locker would make it up, but would take a little effort. Crawl control just drives up without spinning a tire. It makes quite the racket, but it just goes...

    No more side steps

I kept my running boards on my land cruiser, and mangled them over time. They did seem to protect the body seam, though. Without them, if you're going to drive over downed trees, or climb over some big rocks, it might be worth it to get the sliders. I use my roof rack all the time, though. For...

    No more side steps

You cut the plastic trim and reinstalled? I just did that to mine. I installed sliders, but held onto the steps. Just this week I trimmed up the plastic and reinstalled it. Makes a huge difference in my mind. It bothered me every time I looked at it! So, what are the next steps?!

I Built my Roof Rack for $300 after scoffing at the cost of Prinsu/SSO - Here's the How-To

Really cool racks! I like the DIY stuff, and that dissent rack with the ratchet straps built in is pretty cool! I needed a rack for my old 100 series in very short order, and so I did the old ATV ramp roof rack. it was the perfect dimensions, bent up some steel mounts and cut up some plastic...

    150 Series Pic Thread

I've been lurking on here for about a decade, finally decided to join up and post some pictures. I've had 2x Tacomas, an FJ, a 100 Series LC, and now this: 2015 GX460 Base with selective upgrades
