I'm curious whether there is any kind of post-machine heat treat on the TB's, as that would make machining them a much less likely option... If not, I'm curious whether having a set of non-AHC TBs turned down to 27.3mm OD would be a reasonable solution.

Yeah, I've had this issue before as well when I had to replace a battery that died right before inspection was due. Engine computer had reset and the "not finished" or "not ready" code indicates that the computer doesn't have enough driving data yet to determine if the systems are operating...

I finally got my winch wired up and the synthetic rope wound. Nice. The look of the tall/skinnier tires is growing on me. Have you run a 285 width before, and if so, how does the 255 compare? Seems likely that there should be a bit of mpg increase from the narrower contact patch and lighter tire weight...

I love the bronze 5-star. I think I'd be in for a set of 5. Will there be a time limit on getting the required pre-order commitment? While I'm down to commit now, if it doesn't happen for the next 6-12 months I will probably look for another option (like the gunmetal).
