Cutting the top off a Sequoia

Arent any Tundra's that are as short as the suck oia would be. I've considered putting a regular cab on the short frame of the Sucky but they arent that easy to come by. The regular cab that is. The Suzi is cute but its short about 4 cylinders and there is zero bed a bility. I can put a 4x8...

Cutting the top off a Sequoia

This is another idea. I’d weld the rear doors shut Easy to do with paper. Metal is another story……..El Sequoia.

Cutting the top off a Sequoia

Not sure about how straight the lines will be with a case of beer but………point taken. Its easy enough to cut out the rear top aft of the sail panels. Wouldn’t want to close it in with steel cause the box is too small. Sooooo. Chop it to the front doors and weld in the back doors? Slee has a build...

Cutting the top off a Sequoia

There are plenty of threads for cutting/modifying the roof on a 4Runner, anyone do that with a Sequoia?

Nice!, I have a sterling waiting to be gone through so I can put it in my Sequoia. Next will be hunting down a straight axle for the front.

80 Newbie, the start of "Rusty"

Managed to remove the offending stud. Actually went down to the machine shop to let them get it out. One wack with a hammer and some vice grips was all it took to loosen it. Didn't charge me anything (tossed a couple bucks in their doughnut fund) and went home and removed it. Wish everything...

The tin is in a lot worse shape than the picture shows. Couldn't mount a new E brake lever if you wanted to.

80 Newbie, the start of "Rusty"

Well, you know how you hate to start a project on an older vehicle cause when you go to fix something simple the next thing you know youre rebuilding the engine? Brakes were not good at all so figured it was the master cylinder. After looking the rust bucket over I find out one of the lines to...

80 Newbie, the start of "Rusty"

When I was living down in Tucson, I bought a 90 Dodge 3/4 ton 4wd (will be the axle source for my Discovery) and it has zero rust. Grew up in Michigan so I'm used to rust but I can tell ya, I sure didn't miss it.......

I hear ya. I'm not totally disappointed that the front axle has leaked as much as it has. Front axle is about the only thing that is relatively rust free!

Right on. I think everything is froze up on this thing. Afraid I may have to put a little heat on the lug nuts before I can even get to the calipers. Ah the joys of working on vehicles.......

80 Newbie, the start of "Rusty"

Using the T from under the Master Cylinder (MC), I was able to move the line from the aft section of the MC that runs down to the T (in the T's original position under the MC), and moved it to the Forward output for the front brakes. I took the out line from the ABS module to the rear brakes...
