There's a carfax, dealer maintained, except for the last 2 years. And seeing the rest of the car, it's in pretty good condition for 260K! Always southern owned, and some minor leakage from the radiator. Apart from the car sounds/looks and drives very well. Might it be something else than rust...

It is! No rust and everything looks neat! Seats have been updated a little, but that's it.
